Rosemary Sullivan's Stalin's Daughter: The Extraordinary and Tumultuous Life of Svetlana Alliluyeva (HarperCollins Canada) is one of the biggest non-fiction hits of the year. It's added a prestigious nomination for the RBC Taylor Prize to its many honours, and we're thrilled to present, in partnership with the RBC Taylor Prize, this exclusive video interview with Rosemary.

Widely heralded as the Queen of Canadian biographies, Rosemary is one of the country's foremost non-fiction writers. In this interesting discussion, she talks about the book's unexpected level of success (it has sold in twenty countries!) and tells us about what she wants to work on next.

The RBC Taylor Prize rewards the finest non-fiction writing in Canada. The 2016 winner of the $25,000 prize will be announced on March 7.

Stay tuned to Open Book to hear from all of the nominated authors on Open Book in the coming weeks.

Open Book thanks the RBC Taylor Prize for the creation of this video series
