Undone by Sue Goyette

Brick Books, 2004

In so many ways, Sue Goyette reminds me of Bronwen Wallace. Her poetry manages to trick you into thinking it’s meandering, and then she smacks you down by the last line. While her individual lines are perfection, she somehow manages to transcend it all as the poem comes together as a whole. It’s inexplicable really, you’ll just have to read her for yourself.
