In the Skin of A Lion

McClelland & Stewart, 1987

What better way to get to know a city than through its literature? After moving to Toronto in ’89 and eventually settling along the Danforth, the first book I chose to read was Michael Ondaatje’s novel, In the Skin of A Lion. The story opens with the construction of the Prince Edward Viaduct, which opened in 1918 and spans the Don Valley.
