Girl Fight

The formatting of this book was what really captured me. That and the superhero metaphors. Like all the books in the SideStreets series, this novel is for teens who either don’t like reading or have trouble with it but want a book that won’t talk down to them. Girl Fight is a short read that deals with issues of bullying, self-esteem, and re-defining who you are. There’s lots of discussion about art, fighting, and self-control. It’s a pretty amazing story and I really fell in love with the main character, Zadie, and her little sister Ramona Roar.
